Welcome to the website of the Tarratine Gallery. We are a cooperative of artists based in and around Castine, Maine.

We are pleased to announce that we are now open weekends for the 2012 Season and please join us Friday, May 25th for an Opening Reception from 5-7 pm.
Come meet the artists, view the art, share the wine and treats and delight in the spirit of summer in Castine.

Please enjoy browsing through some of the examples of our work on this website, and do drop in to our Main Street space in Castine–right next to the Compass Rose Book Store–if you happen to be in mid-coast Maine this summer.

The gallery is exhibiting a diverse range of works including contemporary painting, sculpture, drawing, ceramics, jewelry and photography, and features the work of a core group of artists, as well as new artists throughout the season with the space and its contents changing weekly. Welcome to our newest exhibiting member, Cynthia Winings. Exhibiting artists are Louise Bourne, Gregory Dunham, Lyn Mayewski, Cynthia Winings and Goody-B. Wiseman. Also on display are works by contemporary artists and crafts people Hannah Bureau, Solveig Cox, Steven Frye, John Gardner, Wilfred Loring, Eila Remelius, Roddy Scheer, Christine Thery, Simon van der Ven, Bradley Wiseman and Charleen Wiseman.

Located at 5 Main Street in the “Castine Variety Building” on the corner of Main and Water Streets.
